Peter came back to his parents house and then next Peter and Kit went to go tell Sir Armthwaite about Sir Philip and their problems, but they don’t know that Sir Armthwaite is a conspirator. Peters brother was outside and said that he saw Sir Philip and 5 other men. They asked peters dad if peter came back peters dad said “no” but they didn’t believe him. So then they started hitting the door down. Then kit grabs a gun and hold it up to Sir Armthwaite head because she found that he was a conspirator.

Passage 1: “Our Cumbrian folk are… Brownrigg was in trouble.”p.225.
I think that this was a wonderful passage because it really shows that the neighbors in Cumberland were very close and all nice to each other. I think this was also very well written and the author really described what he was trying to say extremely well. But in the end of the part of the book that we had to read, this statement was proven wrong because one Cumbrian almost told on him.

Passage 2: “But the rest of his… quickly a boy grows up?” p. 232-233. I think this is a great passage because it really shows the changes Peter has overcome in this book. At the beginning he was considered to be weak and people didn’t believe in him. Then the author describes the new Peter, who is an actor and part of the secret service. It was also very well written.

1. Why do you think that Peter’s family is helping him with the problems that he is presently facing?
A. Because that family has been together for so long and they have stood up for each other and helped each other and it is just natural to do such a thing.
2. Would you do the same as his family is doing? As in help Peter and Kit?
A. Yes, they are family.
3. Would you leave like Kit and Peter did and not come back to help your family if they were in the same trouble?
A. No, I would go round up a mini-army and go to save my family, then we would go all together to warn London about the Queen’s attempted assassination.
4. Would you have trusted the same man as Peter and Kit?
A. No, I would have tried to find a way to go to the Queen directly.
5. Would you have thought to take the horses?
A. No, probably not because I would just assume that the groom would go off to warn the others.
